News, NoticiasCommentThe state of Texas is recovering after being battered by Hurricane Harvey, while Hurricane Irma has made its way to the Caribbean. The Category 5 hurricane, which has already tied the mark as the second strongest in the Atlantic Ocean, has caused damage in several Caribbean islands including Barbuda, St. Martin, Anguilla, and Tortula, among many others. Irma is headed toward Puerto Rico, where the government declared a state of emergency.
In the Dominican Republic, several provinces are on high alert. The following provinces are in yellow or red alert.

La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, Espaillat, María Trinidad Sánchez, Puerto Plata, Montecristi, La Romana, Provincia Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Pedernales, Barahona, Peravia, Azua, San Cristóbal y San Pedro de Macorís.
ALERTA AMARILLA
Dajabón, Santiago Rodríguez, Valverde, Monte Plata, Santiago, La Vega, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, Hermanas Mirabal, Ocoa, Moseñor Nouel y San Juan, y en verde están las provincias Elías Piña, Independencia y Barahuco.
